Filmfestival ‘Explos’
The last weekend, I’ve been in Ax les Thermes, this is a nice little city in the french pyrenees. I was there for the film festival ‘Explos’.
During the four day’s there were a lot of good film presentations each evening and even during the day.
For my part, I’ve been invited for two films: Friday night Laurent Triay was presenting for the first time his film ‘Ultime démence’. His film was a documentation about me and my first female ascent of the multi pitch route he bolted by himself in the gorge of Verdon.
Then, saturday night I’ve been on stage together with Julien Nadiras and Vladimir Cellier for the Argentinia film ‘Tuzgle’.
This film is really like a work of art. I advice to everyone to telecharge this film on www.barakafilms.com, because it is defently not a standart climbing film, it’s an advanturejourney…
Beside watching films, we’ve had a good climbing day in Génat together with the whole group: Lafouche, Laurent, Juju, Vladimir, Mariona and Cédric.
Cédric made a quick sent of an 8c, on his second go, and he flashed an 8b+. Not bad at all!
For my part, I’ve had a weight training on an ultra physique 8b because I was falling four times in it!;-)
These four days in Ax les Thermes were exactely what I needed after the hard multipitch sent in Sardinia: Tranquillo, tranquillo and fiesta, fiesta…
Thank’s a lot to Phil Bence and his crew, the event was super good organised and I really enjoyed to be part of the festival!
Le travail
Après avoir enchainé la grande voie ‘Hotel Supramonte’, Cédric et moi, on a bien profité de la plage à Cala Gonone. On était tellement fatigue, la voie nous a carrément bouffé!
Alors fallait manger beaucoup des fruits de mer, des glaces, bronzer au soleil, faire du canöe et grimpouiller tranquillement dans des petits sites autour de Cala Gonone.
Cinque jours plus tard, le photograph Stefan Schlumpf est descendu pour prendre des images dans la grande voie. Faut dire que c’est un peu mon photograph perso, mais faut dire aussi qu’il est plutôt un bloceur…il n’est jamais monté dans une grande voie!
Bon, fallait commencer tranquillement et lui apprende tout dès le début, un vrai apprentissage….;-)
Heuresement Cédric est un bon spéléologue, car les montées au jumars à la manière spéléo sont mille fois plus facile qu’en escalade. Juste pour passer des fractionnages, Stef a eu un peu du mal, mais si non il s’est tellement bien débrouillé pour une première fois!
Ok, les petits pendules lui ont fait un peu peur quand-même, mais ça c’est normale!;-)
On a travaillé trois jours dans la voie et ça c’était super dur pour nous. Cédric et moi on a eu une grande responsabilité pour Stef et il fallait être concentré à 200% toujours. Tout contrôler, surveiller chaque movement et bien sur bien grimper en même temps.
Mais ça vallait bien la peine. Stef se sentait bien à l’aise avec la heuteur et il a pu prendre des photos magnifiques.

Mammut Testevent in Seelisberg
Schon zum vierten mal fand ein Mammut Testevent statt. Nach dem genialen Tag auf dem Kamelbuckel, wo wir die neuen Mammut Schuhe testeten, gings jetzt ab nach Seelisberg, um die Rucksackkollektion den Händlern aus aller Welt zu präsentieren.
David und Ich versuchten, in allen möglichen Sprachen, die neuen Kletterrucksäcke den Händlern schmackhaft zu machen. Bei den Schweizern, Deutschen und Österreichern war das ja noch ganz einfach. Aber als dann die Japaner, Finnländer und Israeler an der Reihe waren, mussten wir mehr auf unsere Mimik und Gestik setzen als auf einen grossen Wortschatz!:-)
Aber Mammut Event heisst ja nicht nur Reden und Reden. Übernachtet wurde am Seeufer in Seelisberg in grossen Tipis. 5 Lämmer am Feuer mit Risotto, 15 Meter Spiessli mit Salat, an der guten Küche fehlte es auch nicht! Und für absolut geniale Musik und Stimmung sorgten Alberto und die Fried Bikinis im grossen Zirkuszelt.
Am Rucksackshootingtag zog es mich leider ins Lehn. Aber was es heisst während 2 Stunden im Tessin in einer Platte zu hängen, das weiss ich schon lange. Bin schon gespannt auf die Bilder!;-)
